Suters Architects, Newcastle were awarded the contract by ALDI, Germany to design the majority of ALDI stores in the Hunter Region.

While ALDI has been operating internationally for over 50 years, its first Australian store opened in January 2001. ALDI now has over 300 stores operating successfully in Australia’s eastern states with shoppers adopting the German company’s philosophy of great value for all consumers.

The upfront time investment in the creation of a series of standardised building information models to be used as project templates, construction drawings and documents, accelerated the design process for all new ALDI stores – reducing the overall design to construction time frame.
