Group Housing - University Assessment
This design project is for a medium density group housing project located in Cessnock, Australia. The form depicts DNA unwinding and laid over the landscape.
The design consists of 8 homes that are identical in form and plan, allowing components to be prefabricated for construction speed and economical purposes. Each home has a living room, two bedrooms, one bathroom, kitchen and laundry. The homes are connected in such a way that ground floor is moved away from the upper floor. A home's upper floor is then supported by another home's ground floor. Each home's ground floor roof is also used as a courtyard or private garden allowing each home to have their own private space. Each home has their own allocated parking located next to their home.
