Hello all! I’m currently in the process of modifying my website to be WordPress based and moving my blog to this site. If you have visited this site hoping to see my portfolio, please email me at mail@denahamed.com and I will email my portfolio to you. It should be up and running in a few days so your patience is greatly appreciated.
I am keeping a blog on this site by popular request from friends who were a little upset about me closing my Facebook account a few months ago. It made it difficult for them to know how I was going, what I was up to, if I’m still alive etc. The world seems to revolve around social media nowadays and as I refuse to go back on Facebook, you can check to see whether I’m still breathing here.
Much love xoxo
As you can see, the website is still under construction but I assure you portfolios will be posted soon.
Meanwhile…I need to relax and actually take a REAL break. I haven’t really stopped doing “stuff” since my final architectural design presentation. Admittedly, my busyness is of my own doing. After 5 years of study and working full/part time, I can’t sit still. I’m constantly finding things for myself to do even though I probably don’t need to do them. You get used to the non-stop grind of being in the architecture industry. Couldn’t imagine life without it.
Hmm…now how am I going to adjust to life outside of architecture school? Maybe hit the gym, consume real foods (ie. products not in 2 minute noodle or canned form)- any suggestions on how I can resume life in the real world will be greatly appreciated
This post would of made sense 5 days ago, but I’ve only really had the chance to post it now. On Friday the 25th of November, the University of Newcastle, School of Architecture hosted the Final Year Architectural Design exhibition at the local City Hall. It was a fantastic night (long day for us exhibiting – construction and demolition of exhibition stands). It was great to have my project on display for the general public. My highlight of the night would of had to have been the amount of kids that were obsessed with my perspex model. The great thing about young kids is that they’re less likely to lie and are not interested in flattering you – they just speak their mind.
On Friday the 2nd of December, we gear up to do it all over again at Sydney’s Paddington Town Hall. It will be a great night. Starts at 6ish, whenever time you can make it.
